UV line calculations for the narrow line regions of active galactic nuclei are presented as part of a composite theoretical model of active galactic nuclei. Line ratios in the UV are calculated for different values of radiation flux, the spectral index, shock velocity and the cutoff energy. The results are given with the aim of explaining future observations and of supplying the narrow line core contribution to the lines which permits a more reliable fitting of the line ratios to observational results. An 'ideal' procedure is recommended for fitting the theoretical calculations to current observational data for AGN spectral emissions.
