X-ray and visible light observations of X-ray binaries are described and a model is developed for determining the parameters of such systems. Light and color curves are presented for HD153919; X-ray and light curves are represented for a theoretical system with a supergiant star; the 2-6 keV intensity of 3U1700-37 is plotted; the absorption line velocities of HD153919 are shown. Values are given for the parameters of various binary systems, including for primary spectrum, light amplitude, X-ray eclipse duration, and estimated inclination angle.
