The Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX) surveyed the entire Galactic plane, extending to a latitude of +/-5 degrees, at mid-infrared wavelengths (6 - 26 μ m). This is the highest-resolution (18'') and highest-sensitivity survey of the entire plane in the mid-infrared. We present selected images showing regions of interest from the initial set of plates for the MSX Galactic Plane Survey. The completed plates, soon to be released, cover 0o < l < 360o, b +/-5o, in 4 bands centered at 8, 12, 14, and 21 microns.
