Moon Surface: Domes

Scientific paper

British amateur Harold Hill observed several domes north-northwest of the crater Milichius on two dates in 1988. Although the apparent differences between his two drawings may appear to be due to differences in familiarity and in seeing conditions, a more likely explantation is lighting differences due to changes in the selenocentric solar latitude. Mr. Hill's drawings confirm a number of elusive domes in this region.
