A faint short-lived emission and splitting of the H-alpha absorption line into two components are found in the maximum-brightness phases for DH Peg and RZ Cep. The observed phenomena are compared for RRab and RRc stars, and it is concluded that the shock waves are formed in higher layers in the atmospheres of RRc stars than in the atmospheres of RRab stars.
