Stellar Interiors: Nucleosynthesis, Massive Stars: Nucleosynthesis
Scientific paper
It is shown that the bulk of the solar system low-fluence s-process
component can be explained as resulting mainly from the neutron capture
nucleo-synthesis in central He-burning in massive stars. The
contribution of massive stars to the bulk solar abundance of
180Ta is also discussed.
