The energy spectra near the sun and the time profiles of the emission of relativistic protons in the events of Dec. 8, 1982 and Nov. 19, 1949 are determined by solving the inverse problem of solar-cosmic-ray propagation. A comparison of time profiles of emission for three events (including the flare of Feb. 23, 1956) indicates that accelerated particles are delayed in the solar corona.
