Equations are obtained which describe the passage of an Alfven wave through an intense shock front (e.g., in the magnetosphere) in the case of the arbitrary orientation of the vectors of flow velocity, the external magnetic field, and the wave vector of the incident wave. Transformation coefficients of the incident wave into various types of MHD waves are calculated as a function of the orientation of the external magnetic field and the wave vector of the incident wave.
