Scientific paper

Two methods for investigating intradiurnal irregularities of the earth rotation are compared, using residuals RT = O-C published by the International Time Bureau. A time series analysis where the observations are reduced to the common system by personal-instrumentation corrections gives considerably better results than the investigation of the relative values Delta t/t. A large number of harmonics with periods shorter than one day were detected.
