Observations of EV Lac obtained with the Astron astrophysical observatory are analyzed. An emission measure of about 3 x 10 to the 50th/cu cm was found for the faint-glow region in the C IV lines, which is close to the value for the flare transition region. It appears that Astron observed the formation of a radiative shock wave accompanying explosive vaporization of the chromosphere.
