Using the 91 cm reflector of the Stellar Station of the Catania Observatory at Sierra La Nave, BV measurements of the short period variable UU Cam are obtained for the first time. The results generally confirm the classification, based on Bond's (1978) spectroscopic measurements, of UU Cam as an RR Lyr variable. However, because the B-V index is found to be constant, or at least to display a variation smaller than 0.03 mag, it is suggested that this classification by accepted with caution.
