Using the relations connecting the moments of distributions of squares of the apparent and intrinsic sphericities of galaxies in the assumption that galaxies are flattened ellipsoids of rotation and that their planes of symmetry are orientated uniformely in space, the averaged values, the dispersions, the asymmetries and the excesses of distributions of squares of the intrinsic sphericities of galaxies for the number of samples from Nilson's catalogue (UGC) have been found. It has been shown that due to the peculiarities of compilation of this catalogue it is possible to use directly the UGC's data only for objects brighter than 14m5 in this paper. The region on the celestial sphere with larger apparent sphericities of galaxies has been located.
