The elemental depletion patterns of single interstellar clouds showing different extinction curves and different ratios of diffuse interstellar bands have been studied, based on the intensities of FUV absorption lines of several elements observed with the aid of the Copernicus spectrometer. It is shown that the depletions of certain elements are quite different when observed in clouds, producing different extinction curves and different ratios of the 5780-A and 5797-A diffuse bands. The depletion pattern seems to be very sensitive to the physical parameters of interstellar clouds.
