Position-velocity curves obtained for several spiral galaxies show a
very steep velocity gradient in the nuclear parts. It is argued that
this gradient signifies fast rotation of a dynamically distinct nucleus.
The masses of these nuclear condensations are of order 10 to the 9th
solar masses.
