A 12.2 GHz receiver has been designed and built to observe the 2(0) -
3(-1) methanol transition. Laboratory tests and first spectral
observation show that the rectifier's stability and sensitivity are
satisfactory. With the highest possible velocity resolution of the
spectrometer, the sensitivity is 4-6 Jy.
