The evolution of two detached systems with well determined dimensions is investigated. Their initial composition is determined for two different treatments of the convective core, with and without overshooting. Then the evolution through mass transfer is followed, giving attention to the behavior of the two components. Finally, changes in chemical surface abundances of hydrogen, carbon and nitrogen during the interactive phase are discussed.
