The idea of atmospheric tides is introduced and calculations are performed to calculate the atmospheric tide of Titan resulting from the Saturnian gavitational field. Engineering implications of this tide, for example in the arrival detection of the Huygens probe, are discussed. Other atmospheric tides on Titan are considered: the Saturn induced thermal tide, the solar driven thermal tide and the solar driven gravitational tidal forces. Prospects for experimental observation of the tide are reviewed.
