K′-band imaging of the Rosette GMC CO emission peak reveals the presence of a hitherto undetected small cluster of stars, coincident with the IRAS source 06314+0427. High signal-to-noise K-band spectra have been obtained for two of the cluster members. The brightest cluster member (dubbed BG/IRSl) shows Brγ 2.166 μm in emission. The spectrum of a second member, BG/IRS4, contains weak absorption bands of 12CO, indicating it is much cooler than BG/IRS1. The tails of an optical family of cometary globules in the Rosette SE quadrant all point radially away from the newly identified cluster; a direct consequence of a subsonic flow of hot, shocked wind gas from the O stars in NGC 2244 being forced through a channel created by the cluster reported in this Letter.
