IRSA is NASA's archive node for infrared astronomy. Its key holdings are public catalogs and images from the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS), the Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX), the Two Micron All-Sky Survey (2MASS), and an interface to the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) archive in Spain. Future holdings will include the catalogs from the Infrared Telescope in Space (IRTS), the Space InfraRed Telscope Facility (SIRTF) and the Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA).IRSA has developed specialized services such as efficient "spatial" indexing for rapid catalog queries and subsetting of multi-terabyte sized catalogs (in collaboration with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey) and rapid positional cross-correlation of very large source lists (in collaboration with the Digital Sky project.) IRSA has begun the development of next-generation services specifically aimed at providing cornerstones of the NVO, including a Batch Image Server for delivering 2MASS Atlas Images, and an extensible interactive image and source list overlay toolkit. These functions will be demonstrated on-line at the meeting.
