The geometric component of Vesta's light-curve is presently argued to be derivable from estimates of the contribution of albedo features to the lightcurve, on the basis of such polarimetric data as that obtained during the opposition of 1988. The analytical results thus obtained from speckle and polarimetric data, in conjunction with results from a simulation of Vesta's speckle interferometry, indicate that Vesta must have a shape that is in virtual equilibrium, with an axes-ratio value approaching unity.
