Infrared and JHKL photometry have been obtained for the extraordinary object V 1057 Cygni at the Observatorio Astronómico Nacional in San Pedro Mártir, Baja California, of Instituto de Astronomia, UNAM. The infrared photometry supports the hypothesis that the brightening of V 1057 Cygni is a manifestation of a similar event that caused the brightening of FU Ori.
