Ultraviolet spectroscopy now exists for a growing number of LINERs. The data show varied behavior that reinforces indications that these sources may comprise a heterogeneous class, with shocks, hot stars, and classical AGNs each playing a role in some objects. In this paper we will present optical/UV spectroscopy for the LINER NGC 3507. Emission and absorption lines as well as the overall spectral energy distribution provide diagnostics of energetic phenemona in this system, and in particular suggest the presence of a composite population of old and young stars.
