Constraints on aerodynamic characteristics of the Venera 9 and 10 spacecraft are calculated with respect to required velocity at impact with the Venusian surface, maximum permissible angular velocity about the longitudinal axis, and the limit on the amplitude of oscillation of the angle of attack. Analysis complemented with test results on models in wind tunnels verifies that the design of the spacecraft will ensure compliance with these constraints.
