An analytic description is proposed of the direct mergings that involve galaxies in groups. Shape and evolution predictions of the distribution of the galactic masses in these finite systems, including the formation of a cD-like merger that analytically appears as a critical phenomenon. These findings constitute a close counterpart of many N-body results. Similar aggregation phenomena conceivably take place in other cosmic structures.
