Using the formula for the response of a correlation interferometer to partially polarized radio radiation, special observation and calibration techniques are developed to improve the accuracy of polarization measurements with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope by more than an order of magnitude over the normal observing procedure. Results of applying these techniques to synthesize the full linear- and circular-polarization parameters at 1.4 GHz of 17 compact unresolved sources are presented. The synthesis of the full polarization distributions in a number of extended sources is also discussed.
