The existence of cooling flows in the center of cluster of galaxies can influence the Suniaev-Zel'dovich diminution of the cosmic microwave background radiation temperature in the Rayleigh-Jeans part of the spectrum by its free-free emission. This may account for the positional discrepancy of the observed peak of the diminution and the expected diminution from modeling with the X-ray observations from clusters with-out cooling flows. Alternatively, the S-Z effect can be employed to detect cooling flows in distant clusters of galaxies.
