The radial surface luminosity distribution of the Globular Cluster NGC 2419 in the B, V, and I photometric bands is presented. Data are derived by single frame CCD images of (25 x 17) sq arcmin. The simple methodology used to obtain measurements actually related to the diffuse emission of the globular cluster without contamination due to bright stars, field stars or other kinds of singularities is described. Surface brightness is compared to the theoretical one proposed by King (1965) for homogeneous self-gravitating systems. Data extending to half the tidal radius show good agreement with the model. The present core radius (Rc = 0.34 +/- 0.01 arcmin) returns less than that calculated by Peterson and King (1975) with data of Kron and Mayall (1960): Rc = 0.42 arcmin.
