Evolution: Protostars, Evolution: Brown Dwarfs

The evolution of protostars, envelopes, disks, jets and outflows may be closely linked. The author reviews, updates and extends the unification scheme, which links these components through simple redistribution of mass and energy. This yields predictions and correlations between parameters such as outflow size, outflow momentum, disk mass, bolometric luminosity and envelope mass. Evolutionary tracks are derived.
