The central regions of the gravitationally lensed quasar, 2237+0305, can be resolved on microarcsecond scales, if viewed during a microlensing event. We will monitor the QSO from the ground at regular intervals to ascertain the onset of a microlensing event. STIS spectra will then be taken and compared with the spectra taken after the event. As the microlensing event occurs, we will measure the variations in lines with different ionisations, and also wavelength-dependent changes in continuum. Thus we will use microlensing to probe structures of QSOs on microarcsecond scales -- a factor of ten smaller than ever observed before.
