Photometry of 51 globular cluster candidates in M 81 is performed on the plates of 6- and 2-m telescopes. The brightest of these objects, with the exception of one, have V greater than 19.3 m and MV greater than -8.5 m. In terms of brightness, the globular cluster candidate system of M 81 is intermediate between the globular cluster system of M 31 and M 33. Some excess of a number of reddish objects in M 81 is pointed out.
