Time resolved optical spectra were obtained of the low-mass X-ray binary Sco X-1 on 1999 June 11-14 and on 2001 June 9-12 with the Steward Observatory 2.3-m Bok telescope on Kitt Peak and the Boller and Chivens CCD spectrograph. The spectra cover the range 3200-9500 Å at a spectral resolution of 1-2 Ang in 8 orders (1999) and the range 4000-5200 Å at a spectral resolution of 1.6 Å (2001). These data are supplemented by low resolution spectra obtained on 15 nights in May 1994 with the Perkins 1.8-m telescope and CCDS spectrograph. Preliminary measurement of the eqivalent widths of He II 4686 Å, Hβ , and Hα indicate that He II and Balmer lines exhibit anti-correlated intensity variations. He II exhibits systematic line profile variations on a time scale of a few hours. An analysis of the spectral line and radial velocity variations of the prominent emission lines will be presented.
