The description of the motion of an artificial satellite in the earth's gravity field is available using lumped coefficients. The limited number of such values then enables relatively high accuracy orbit determination. The geopotential harmonic terms have four indices and there is the selector equation to generate any combination of indices. The relations between the parameters of the selector equations and the types of perturbation are found. The case of orbital resonance is noted. In the end the expression for the lumped coefficients is written and the whole method is summarized.
