A 1964 Jupiter approach of P/Grigg-Skjellerup perturbed the comet's orbit so that very close approaches to the Earth's orbit now occur. A recently observed southern hemisphere meteor shower, the σ Puppids, is associated with P/GriggSkjellerup. Observations of this meteor shower now provide us with a unique opportunity to observe the birth and evolution of a meteoroid stream.
