The data of the 1982 BW Vul observing campaign are examined for periodicity. A precise redetermination of the period yields P = 0d.2010425±0d.0000007. The presence of other periodicities with amplitudes larger than 0m.01 is excluded. The different shapes of the stillstand phases do not repeat themselves in a periodic way, as far as periods longer than two days are concerned. An independent analysis of the period variation is carried out using historic and new times of minimum light.
