We present X-ray information on Spitzer selected SWIRE sources. These sources are 24μm limited and are color selected to find quasars. So far we have over 200 identified objects with nuclear activity that also have X-ray information from Chandra and XMM.
For the most part, X-ray spectral information agrees with the optical identification of the object. Type 1 quasars are usually X-ray detected with low column densities, while Type 2 have very hard colors and are only marginally detected in the X-rays. However, we will present cases in which Starburst galaxies or dust-reddened Type 1 quasars show a very hard X-ray spectra, a sign of obscured accretion.
We will also present gas to dust ratios for these Mid-IR selected quasars, therefore complementing many X-ray surveys that look for counterparts in the infrared.
