The directions of arrival of cosmic rays with energies of greater than
10 to the 19th eV are studied. It is shown that, up to 4 x 10 to the
19th eV, the cosmic ray flux maximum is observed from the direction of
the galactic plane. This is above 4 x 10 to the 19th eV from the central
part of the local supercluster.
