The results of the gathering of various knowledge about the lunar resources (including the outline of lunar resource development and utilization, lunar topography and lunar surface environments, and physical properties and chemical compositions of the lunar surface soil) are described. The outline of processes for lunar resource utilization (including pre-processing of regolith (sorting and concentration)), separation of components (reduction, extraction and refinement), and case studies on lunar surface resource utilization systems (including scenarios of lunar base and lunar surface activities, and strategy for lunar resource utilization) is given. Major lunar dark mantle deposits, correlation between intensity of the ferromagnetic resonance for FeO amount and other maturity indices, drawing the Apollo 12 double drive-tube core, scanning electron micrograph of a composite volcanic glass droplet from Apollo 17 core, and lunar resource utilization processes, etc. are shown.
