We propose to obtain IUE spectra of high S/N to observe the L-alpha, L-beta, OVI 1034, and OI 1304 emission lines in six intermediate redshift quasars. These data will allow us to determine the L-alpha profiles and the fluxes of the weaker lines, which have significant diagnostic potential for models of the emission line clouds. One important goal of the profile study is to measure the L-alpha/H-beta ratio for both the broad and narrow line components. The program includes extensive use of the IUE archives.
