The Palomar-Quest (PQ) Synoptic Sky Survey is the first of the next generation of sky surveys devoted to transient astronomy. With the emphasis placed on repeated observations of astronomical objects rather than just single observations, different constraints are imposed on how the data are archived and accessed than with a conventional survey, such as 2MASS. For example, Terabyte-scale catalogs regularly need to be crossmatched to construct groupings of observations corresponding to time histories of astronomical objects. In this paper, we will review the design and implementation of the PQ Survey Archive, which now holds more than five years' worth of data consisting of 3.5 billion observations (5 times greater than SDSS DR6) over 15,500 sq. deg. (twice the coverage of SDSS). We will also describe user interfaces to the archive which rely heavily on VO technologies such as SIAP and CasJobs.
