The interstellar medium in the direction of four A-stars that are fast rotators, in the range 1250 to 1800 A, and 7 fast rotators and 2 low rotators in the range 2000 to 3000 A was studied by IUE. Interstellar Mg II absorption is observed, centered or not in the stellar line cores. Other interstellar lines probably present are Fe II, A1 II, Si II, C II and S II. The A-type stars that rotate slowly may also be useful to determine Mg II interstellar contributions, when the theoretical stellar Mg II line profile is known. Preliminary widths of these interstellar lines are deduced from the observations.
