The binary X-ray pulsar Cen X-3 was observed by the Japanese X-ray satellite Hakucho during March 16-30, 1982. The data from the proportional counter FMC 2 have been analyzed to produce the high state spectrum in the energy range 2-20 keV. This cannot be fitted with a simple model spectrum. A comparison of the spectra taken at pulse peak and pulse minimum reveals that the X-rays associated with the former are harder. Finally, the pulse profiles constructed for four energy bins also reveal that the radiation is more modulated at high energy. At lower energy, a broad secondary peak is observed, which differs in relative intensity from previous results.
