The surface-brightness technique of Barnes et al. (1977) is used to determine the mean radii, distances, and absolute magnitudes of 14 classical Cepheids with periods 3-7 d from the photoelectric radial-velocity data and V,R photometry of Gieren (1981). The results are presented in tables and graphs and compared with those obtained by other methods. Good general agreement is found, except for some mean radii (too short for objects with periods less than 4 d) and for the absolute magnitudes (0.09 + or - 0.07 mag fainter than those obtained with the period-color-luminosity relationship of Caldwell, 1983). The average standard deviation of the radius and distance determinations for Cepheids with (V-R)J amplitudes 0.15-0.25 mag is shown to be about 6 percent.
