Expressions are obtained for the kinetic and potential energies and the angular momentum for galaxies in a binary system described in the tidal approximation by a self-consistent solution with quadratic gravitational potential. The corrections to the Keplerian velocity of the orbital rotation of the galaxies in the pair are calculated and the virial theorem is checked.
