A sample of Seyfert galaxies from the first nine lists of the Markarian survey of galaxies with ultraviolet excess is analyzed. The optical luminosity function (LF) of Seyferts is derived anew on the basis of this sample and is compared with optical LFs from possibly related classes of objects. The optical-radio bivariate LF of Seyfert galaxies is obtained and compared with similar functions for other classes of objects. Correlations are sought between radio power and properties in other wavebands, and some features relevant to the origin of the radio sources in Seyfert galaxies are emphasized.
