The observations of radio wavelength atomic and molecular transitions towards regions of star formation are presented. Radio wavelength measurements and upper limits for CH emission from diffuse interstellar clouds in the direction of nearby bright stars whose optical wavelength spectra exhibit the absorption lines of CH are reported. Line emission from OH and NH3 was detected in the direction of small groups of T Tauri stars and the space between them. Impact broadening was detected in the radio frequency recombination lines emitted by the emission nebular W51 (G49.5 + 0.0) and W49A (G49.2 + 0.0). The search for OH maser emission in the direction of more than eighty infrared stars is discussed along with the detection of twelve new sources of emission.
