We present our Hubble Space Telescope (HST) NICMOS survey of the center of our Milky Way. This survey consists of 144 orbits and covers a field of 80 pc * 30 pc(36'*13'), which includes not only well-known active recent star forming regions between Sgr B2 and Sgr A*, but also the "dark" region between Sgr A* and Sgr C, as seen in previous X-ray and radio observations. Numerous new phenomena are discovered, such as a shell-like nebula around a WR star and several HII regions that are associated with potential ongoing star formation regions. We have developed methods to construct and calibrate large NICMOS mosaic images. We correct for the relative astrometry and the background difference between different pointings.
We will also present results from prelimary multi-wavelength comparisons, leading to a better understanding of complex astrophysical phenomena and processes in the GC now.
