We report the results obtained from NIR ISAAC/VLT and optical FORS/VLT spectroscopy of lensed low-luminosity 1.3 ≤ z ≤ 2.3 galaxies located in the core of the lensing clusters AC114, CL2244-02, and A370. The amplification factor allowed to obtain, for the first time, physical properties (SFR, abundance ratios, mass, age of the burst, dust content, etc) of star-forming galaxies, 1 to 2 magnitudes fainter than in previous studies of Lyman Break Galaxies at z ˜ 3.
