The fraction of Lyman continuum (LyC) radiation escaping from galaxies at z˜3 is discussed. First, we describe our narrow-band photometric method for detecting the LyC. Comparing observations of the LyC from Lyman break galaxies at z˜3 obtained so far, we show the advantages of our method. Second, we present an estimate of the absolute escape fraction by using a new fitting method of the spectral energy distribution, which is physically motivated rather than based on reduced χ2 methods.
