From spectroscopic and magnetic observations of the helium variable HR 7129 an oblique-rotator model is derived. It has a single helium cap and a single silicon cap located at the opposite magnetic poles. The axis of the magnetic field is inclined by 87 deg to the axis of rotation. The strength at the poles is 33 kG. The average Si abundance is enhanced by a factor 5, while He is reduced by the same factor with respect to normal B stars.
