We present VLT imaging and spectroscopy of M83, revealing a large disk Wolf-Rayet population. The observed WC to WN ratio is ˜1.3, extending previous Local Group results to higher metallicity, and is significantly higher than current evolutionary predictions at high metallicity. Late subtypes dominate the WC population, arguing in favour of metallicity-dependent WR winds, of application to the hardness of Lyman continuum fluxes from young starbursts. Finally, source #74 is identified as a super star cluster, has a large WR content of ˜200 with N(WR)/N(O) ˜1, comparable to the WR cluster NGC3125-1.
